5 D.I.Y Green Tea Recipes!


Green tea is easily the best beverage after water. Known for its softness and delicate aromas, it reveals sweet and woody notes and provides a feeling of freshness and well-being. 

Here are some awesome, quick green tea concoctions you can create at home yourself! 
These blends naturally flush your system, increase your energy, remove mucus, boost your immune system and can make your skin glow.
They are great for a fresh start to your day!

I recommend you buy organic fruits, ginger & loose tea for this recipe. 

Adjust the quantities of ingredients, depending on how many servings you want to make, or your taste preferences

Ingredients:

 Green tea leaves
10 hand picked mint tea leaves
1 cups of water
1/2 a green apple chopped into slices
1 tablespoon of turmeric
1/2 an orange
1/2 a lime
1 tablespoon of chopped up ginger slices
1 tablespoon of chopped up cucumber slices

Instructions:


1 Green Fresh Mint Tea
  1. Take one teaspoon of green tea leaves. If you want to make more than a cup of green tea, take 1 teaspoon of green tea leaves for each cup. 
  2. Now, put the tea leaves in a strainer/sieve and keep aside.
  3. Boil 300ml of water. As soon as you start to see bubbles stop boiling the water. 
  4. Let it cool for a bit for 30 seconds.
  5. The ideal temperature for green tea is 80°C to 90°C, so keep an eye on the water to make sure it’s not too hot. 
  6. Now, place the sieve/ strainer over your cup or mug.
  7. Place the sieve/strainer on top of your cup & pour the hot water over the sieve/strainer & let it filter into the cup. Let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. 
  8. Remove the sieve and keep it aside. 
  9. Now, remove 10 leaves from your organic mint plant, or take some loose mint tea leaves and rinse them in lukewarm water. Add the leaves to your cup.
  10. If you want the tea to be sweet, add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir the honey in. Let the drink cool for a few seconds. Drink & feel fresh!
2 Green Multi Mix Fruit Tea
  1. Cut an apple in 1/2 and cut it into slices. Place these small slices at the bottom of your cup 
  2. Cut a green tangerine in 1/2 and squeeze it into the cup.
  3. Cut a 1/4 of a lime and squeeze a few drops of it into the cup.
  4. Repeat the first 8 steps from recipe 1(Brew your green tea).
  5. Cut a some small slices of ginger it into the cup.
  6. Remove 10 leaves from your organic mint plant, or take some loose mint tea leaves and rinse them in lukewarm water. Add the leaves to your cup.
  7. If you want the tea to be sweet, add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir the honey in. Let the drink cool down for a few seconds. Enjoy your cup of tea!
3 Green & Ginger Tea
  1. Repeat the first 8 steps from recipe 1
  2. Now, remove 10 leaves from your organic mint plant, or take some loose mint tea leaves and rinse them in lukewarm water. Add the leaves to your cup.
  3. Cut a some small slices of ginger it into the cup.
  4. If you want the tea to be sweet, add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir the honey in. Let the drink cool down for a few seconds. Enjoy your cup of tea!
4 Green & Cucumber Tea
  1. Repeat the first 8 steps from recipe 1
  2. Now, cut up 1/2 a cucumber into slices some loose mint tea leaves and rinse them in lukewarm water. Add the leaves to your cup.
  3. Add some cut up turmeric slices to your cup.
  4. If you want the tea to be sweet, add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir the honey in. Let the drink cool down for a few seconds. Enjoy your cup of tea!
5 Green Apple Tea
  1. Repeat the first 8 steps from recipe 1
  2. Now, remove 10 leaves from your organic mint plant, or take some loose mint tea leaves and rinse them in lukewarm water. Add the leaves to your cup.
  3. If you want the tea to be sweet, add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir the honey in. Let the drink cool down for a few seconds. 
  4. Enjoy!
